Suriya and Jyothika have renewed their wedding vows after 20 years of marriage. The couple shared a video from the intimate ceremony on social media, giving their fans a glimpse of the special occasion. Suriya and Jyothika got married on September 11, 2006, after dating for several years. The renewal appears to have taken place at a church overseas. Jyothika was seen in a white wedding gown, while Suriya was dressed formally for the occasion. Their children Diya and Dev were also present, along with family members and close friends. Suriya’s brother and actor Karthi was among those seen at the celebration.
The couple’s relationship goes back to 1999, when they met while working on Poovellam Kettuppar. They later worked together in films including Uyirile Kalanthathu, Kaakha Kaakha, Perazhagan and Maayavi. Their relationship eventually led to marriage in 2006. They welcomed their daughter Diya in 2007 and son Dev in 2010. Suriya and Jyothika have largely kept their family life away from unnecessary attention. Jyothika returned to acting after a break and has continued to work across Tamil and Hindi projects, while Suriya has remained active in films as an actor and producer.
Their latest video has now become a talking point among fans, with the ceremony bringing back memories of their long association both on screen and in real life.
