Learning for Hope now works with several school communities in Peru, El Salvador and we recently established a working relationship with ALALAY, an organization that works with street kids in Bolivia. Thousands of young children in these countries are benefiting as a result of the work that we do.<\/p>\n
This year we will continue our mission. We will open a center in Cusco, which will provide girls who are victims of abuse the opportunity to have access to computers and take workshops in everything from baking to music. In partnership with AGAPE in El Salvador, we will pay for the construction of a playground for the school for students with special needs in Sonsonate.<\/p>\n
We may not fundraise a million dollars, but we will make the little bit of money that we raise go as far as possible. Learning for Hope is a perfect example of how far things can go when people want to give more than just money to a cause. Of course, if anyone out there has a million dollars, we are more than willing to give it a happy home.
